This Privacy Policy describes how and when I collect, use, and share information when you purchase an item from me, contact me, or otherwise use my services through Etsy.com or its related sites and services.

This Privacy Policy does not apply to the practices of third parties that I do not own or control, including Etsy or any third party services you access through Etsy.
Information I Collect

To fulfill your order, you must provide me with certain information (which you authorized Etsy to provide to me), such as your name, email address, postal address, payment information, and the details of the product that you’re ordering. You may also choose to provide me with additional personal information (for a custom order of a dog collar, for example), if you contact me directly.

I rely on a number of legal bases to collect, use, and share your information, including:

as needed to provide my services, such as when I use your information to fulfil your order, to settle disputes, or to provide customer support;
when you have provided your affirmative consent, which you may revoke at any time, such as by signing up for my mailing list;
if necessary to comply with a legal obligation or court order or in connection with a legal claim, such as retaining information about your purchases if required by tax law; and
as necessary for the purpose of my legitimate interests, if those legitimate interests are not overridden by your rights or interests, such as 1) providing and improving my services. I use your information to provide the services you requested and in my legitimate interest toimprove my services; and 2) Compliance with the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use. I use your information as necessary to comply with my obligations under the Etsy Seller Policy and Terms of Use.

Information Sharing and Disclosure

Information about my customers is important to my business. I share your personal information for very limited reasons and in limited circumstances, as follows:

Etsy. I share information with Etsy as necessary to provide you my services and comply with my obligations under both the Etsy Seller Policy and Etsy Terms of Use.
Service providers. I engage certain trusted third parties to perform functions and provide services to my shop, such as delivery companies. I will share your personal information with these third parties, but only to the extent necessary to perform these services.
Business transfers. If I sell or merge my business, I may disclose your information as part of that transaction, only to the extent permitted by law.
Compliance with laws. I may collect, use, retain, and share your information if I have a good faith belief that it is reasonably necessary to: (a) respond to legal process or to government requests; (b) enforce my agreements, terms and policies; (c) prevent, investigate, and address fraud and other illegal activity, security, or technical issues; or (d) protect the rights, property, and safety of my customers, or others.

Data Retention

I retain your personal information only for as long as necessary to provide you with my services and as described in my Privacy Policy. However, I may also be required to retain this information to comply with my legal and regulatory obligations, to resolve disputes, and to enforce my agreements. I generally keep your data for the following time period: 4 years.

Transfers of Personal Information

I may store and process your information through third-party hosting services in the US and other jurisdictions. As a result, I may transfer your personal information to a jurisdiction with different data protection and government surveillance laws than your jurisdiction. If I am deemed to transfer information about you outside of the EU, I rely on Privacy Shield as the legal basis for the transfer, as Google Cloud is Privacy Shield certified.

Your Rights

If you reside in certain territories, including the EU, you have a number of rights in relation to your personal information. While some of these rights apply generally, certain rights apply only in certain limited cases. I describe these rights below:

Access. You may have the right to access and receive a copy of the personal information I hold about you by contacting me using the contact information below.
Change, restrict, delete. You may also have rights to change, restrict my use of, or delete your personal information. Absent exceptional circumstances (like where I am required to store data for legal reasons) I will generally delete your personal information upon request.
Object. You can object to (i) my processing of some of your information based on my legitimate interests and (ii) receiving marketing messages from me after providing your express consent to receive them. In such cases, I will delete your personal information unless I have compelling and legitimate grounds to continue using that information or if it is needed for legal reasons.
Complain. If you reside in the EU and wish to raise a concern about my use of your information (and without prejudice to any other rights you may have), you have the right to do so with your local data protection authority.

What sizes are the dog and cat collars?

I offer collar sizes from XXS to XL!

The best way to pick the right size collar for your dog is to measure your dog's neck & pick from the size chart. Be sure to consider your dog's strength, breed & weight as each dog is different. Customers are responsible for determining the suitability of products for their pet.

How long will it take to get my order?

-My items are custom made-to-order. which means I do not have a premade supply of items. I handmake each order myself after receiving the order and include your choice of fabric, collar size and buckle type (plastic, metal or engraved) and buckle color (for plastic buckles).
-The production time for a custom handmade collar and other items in my shop is 8-10 business days (Monday through Friday and excluding legal holidays) after your order is placed. I sometimes finish orders sooner.
-You will receive a tracking notice when your order ships.
-U.S. orders usually take 3-5 days to arrive once they are shipped. Orders to Europe usually take 5-15 days to arrive once they are shipped.

Care instructions for dog and cat collars

My custom handmade items are made with cotton fabric.

Plastic Buckle Cat & Dog Collars, Leashes, Key Fobs, Bandanas
-Machine washable cold or warm water.
-Lay flat/tumble dry on low heat setting.

Metal Buckle Dog Collars
-Machine washable cold or warm water.
-Put collar inside a sock & tie a knot at the end of the sock to prevent scratching during washing.
-Lay flat to dry

Bow Ties
-Hand wash or spot clean & dry flat.

PLEASE NOTE: My products are not intended to be washed with a harsh detergent or bleach. These products & stain removers can discolor, fade or weaken the fabric.

What happens if the post office loses my order?

-You can use this link to report a missing package to the U.S. Postal Service: https://www.usps.com/help/missing-mail.htm
- The USPS customer service number is 1 (800) 275-8777.
-I do not remake orders that are lost by the U.S. Postal Service or other postal service used to ship my orders.

What happens if my order is damaged or the package is opened during shipping?

-Once an order is shipped, unfortunately I have no control over what happens to it.
-If your package is damaged or the packaging is opened when you receive it, you should notify your local post office.
-USPS Priority Shipping is available to purchase as an upgrade when you make a purchase from my shop.
According to the USPS website, Priority Mail includes:
-Delivery in 1 to 3 business days.
-Up to $50 of insurance with most shipments (restrictions apply)

Customer Responsibility

-Customers are responsible for checking the items in their order for accuracy, including sizing & color choices, info needed for personalization, correct shipping address, & being aware of processing/shipping times.
-Missing info could result in order delays.
-Pinky's Pet Gear is not responsible for mishaps if an incorrect address is on an order or requests that a shipping address be changed.
- Customers are responsible for determining suitability of products for their individual situation. The customer accepts all responsibility by purchasing & using Pinky's Pet Gear products.
-Pinkys Pet Gear collars are not meant to be worn on dogs that are tied-out.
-Iissues with orders should be reported within 7 days of receiving the item.

Do you accept returns?

I do not accept returns. Because my items are custom-made they are not eligible for returns.

Wear and Tear

All of my products are handmade using high quality materials.

My collars are made to last but are not indestructible, after all dogs will be dogs and cats will be cats! Pinky's Pet Gear is not responsible for the wear and tear your dog or cat puts on his or her collar or leash.

If you have a cat or dog that spends time outdoors, exposure to the elements (sun, snow, rain, swimming, salt water, mud) can cause cotton fabric to discolor and or weaken. Additionally, sunlight exposure can cause fabric to fade.

Pinky's Pet Gear collars are not meant to be worn on dogs that are tied-out.

Communication

I only communicate with customers using the Etsy message system. I am not responsible for any mishaps that might occur if a customer makes a request using a form of communication other than the Etsy message system.

Other Things to Know About My Products

Buckles on all dog and cat collars are quality checked multiple times during the construction process.

Pinky’s Pet Gear cat collars are made with breakaway buckles that are intended to keep your cat safe. Breakaway buckles pop open when they get caught on something or when they are tugged on. If your cat’s buckle pops open that means the collar is doing its job. :)
