I love using beautiful fabrics from Rifle Paper Co. and other designers to make colorful dog & cat collars.
I got the idea of creating pet gear back in 2009, after not being able to find a collar in a bright, beautiful print for our dog, Daisy. So, I made my own collar... and that opened Pandora's Box!
Pretty soon I was looking for pretty fabrics everywhere and now I've taken over two rooms in our house to use for my sewing and engraving studios. (In all fairness, you should know my husband has the garage for his studio!)
I take extra care when making my collars and go to great lengths to make sure they are high-quality, well-made collars that pet owners will be proud to have their dog or cat wear.
What I like most about making Pinky's Pet Gear collars is working with my customers and being able to make something special for their cherished pet. I feel a real kinship with other dog and cat owners because I am a pet owner, too.
My husband and I have a sweet rescue cat named Sparky, a very smart and active rescue Coonhound named Buttercup and a charming and super stubborn Japanese Akita named Diesel.
We were lucky to have our Akita-Chow Daisy in our lives for 16 years and she remains in our hearts to this day.
Our pets are very important members of our family and we love them so much.
